Planet's acquisition of Proximis extends its reach in Retail beyond payments and creates an innovative and unique unified commerce platform for online, mobile and in-store – one that connects all stock management systems with payments to deliver an improved consumer shopping experience.
Launched in 2013, with operations in France and the United Kingdom, Proximis is a feature-rich commerce platform based on scalable and resilient cloud infrastructure. The company enables retailers to provide consumers a frictionless shopping journey between all digital and physical points of sale.
Proximis technology integrates retailers' existing physical infrastructure with their online stores to solve complex commerce problems, including Click & Collect, online purchases, endless aisle, returns and inventory management.
