If you’re in the Hospitality or Travel trade, your year has been dominated by two C’s; COVID-19 and to a much lesser extent compliance. If it wasn’t for the virus, compliance might have received a bit more scrutiny, because it’s certainly causing a few headaches.

SCA can be complex

 

Strong Customer Authentication (SCA) is all about boosting security by asking for more customer identification. Unfortunately, the regulations have hit the Travel and Hospitality industry the most. Anyone who makes or receives online payments, online travel agencies (OTAs), booking engines and those using Property Management Systems (PMS) have all felt the pain. There has been a long to-do list – understanding what’s changing and when, upgrading IT systems, changing transaction flows, educating your team, etc.

 

So how can you protect yourselves and your guests, while minimising disruption and still avoid missed bookings or declined payments?
