Planet drives global hospitality growth ambitions with three acquisitions

  • Planet expands global hotel customer base with an additional 2,500 sites following the acquisition of Ideosoft, REBAG DATA and XN PMS Limited
  • These acquisitions are Planet’s latest investments in the hospitality market, cementing its position as a leading provider of global software and payments services

Planet, a global technology leader providing integrated software and payment services, has today announced the acquisition of three distributors of protel software: Ideosoft, REBAG DATA and XN PMS Limited. This adds over 2,500 hotel sites to Planet’s expanding global hospitality portfolio’s direct channel.

 

Planet acquired protel (previously protel Hotelsoftware) in March 2022, with the aim to extend its reach in the hotel industry.

 

These latest acquisitions highlight Planet’s continued growth ambitions in the hospitality sector and its further commitment to delivering connected commerce for hoteliers. This is thanks to the way in which Planet has uniquely fully integrated its payment services with protel’s end-to-end hotel property management software (PMS).

 

Ideosoft, REBAG DATA and XN PMS Limited re-sell protel software to customers in specific geographic locations across Europe.

 

Ideosoft is an integrator of hotel management solutions in France and Morocco, XN PMS Limited is an exclusive distributor of protel within the UK and UAE and REBAG DATA is one of the largest distributors of hotel software within the Swiss market and part of the protel network.

 

Following the acquisitions, customers of Ideosoft, REBAG DATA and XN PMS Limited will all be able to benefit directly from the wider range of payments, software and services being part of Planet’s network offers. This allows them to offer their customers new connected commerce services that deliver a unique, fast and secure experience for both hotels and their guests.

 

Time and money is often wasted on manual, overly complex processes and poorly integrated payment systems used in hotels. Planet brings together the systems used by hoteliers, including integrated payment services with protel’s end-to-end hotel PMS, to provide a better experience for guests and optimising revenue for hotels.
