Sedan Chair Fund Campaign with Planet Payment to Raise Funds For Hong Kong Charities

Planet Payment to make Donations For Purchases in Customers’ Home Currencies

HONG KONG – 15 August 2007 -- The Sedan Chair Fund Committee, organizer of the famous annual Sedan Chair Race, today announced a new initiative with Planet Payment [LSE: AIM: PPT and PPTR], a leading international multi-currency payment and data processor, designed to raise money for Hong Kong-based charities.

The Sedan Chair Fund was established in 1975 with the goal of raising money for smaller Hong Kong-based charities that do not receive funding or subsidies from the Government, the Community Chest or Jockey Club. The Sedan Chair Race, which involves sponsor teams racing around the Peak with elaborate sedan chairs, has become one of the most popular social and charitable events in Hong Kong. Since its inception, the Sedan Chair Fund has raised over HK$40 million for local Hong Kong charities.

Planet Payment works with several local banks to deliver a personalized pricing service to hotels, restaurants and retailers throughout Hong Kong, Macau and Mainland China. With the initiative announced today, Planet Payment will donate HK$0.15 to the Sedan Chair Fund each time a customer agrees to pay in his or her home currency using eligible MasterCard® or Visa® cards at participating merchant locations from August 15, 2007 through November 15, 2007. Several prominent merchants have agreed to participate in this new program, including the Conrad Hotel and Canny Man Restaurant. The Sedan Chair Fund and Planet Payment welcome the participation of other merchants, and opportunities to sign up are available throughout the campaign.
